Welcome to Høgelibu! We rent out our family cabin just outside of Voss when we’re not using it ourselves.
We’ve got a super cozy Tiny Cabin sleeping 5 persons, and a roomy Main Cabin sleeping 8+ people.
Both are well equipped and feature a panoramic view and separate outdoor areas. Høgelibu is an excellent hub for visiting Bergen, Voss, Voss Gondola, Hardanger, Trolltunga, Vøringsfossen waterfall, Flåmsbana scenic railway, Stegastein, Kjeåsen, Dronningstien and more. The hiking possibilities are endless.
In the winter you’ll find cross country ski slopes withinin walking distance and Voss Resort (downhill) only 20 min away.

Vøringsfossen waterfall
182 meters tall, the Vøringsfossen waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Norway.
It is situated about 1 h drive from Høgelibu. You’ll cross the Hardangerbrua bridge and along the way you can also make a small detour to see Kjeåsen and Skjervsfossen. On your way up from Eidfjord you’ll also drive up the Måbødalen valley, an impressive road climbing up the mountainside.
We recommend to park on the northern parking facility. The area are recently upgraded with an impressive pedestrian bridge crossing the waterfall. The span is 47 m and it consists of 99 steps. There are multiple viewpoints with breathtaking views. Please do be careful and look after your kids. The fences are sturdy and tall, but it is not impossible to go beyond the main viewing area where there are no fences.
If you travel to Høgelibu fom the east, crossing the Hardangervidda (Rv 7 road) Vøringsfossen would be one of the recommended sights along the way.
